Rejuvenate Your Self First


I have found that I’m a rare woman who has {almost} always found the time to pamper myself.  I learned this from my mother so it has always been a normal way of life.  As I grew older, tuned into magazines and media and conversations with friends, I realize this is not the normal way to Be in our current world.  As the feminine, if we aren’t rejuvenated and relaxed and in tune with ourselves, how can we comfort and care for our families and our community?  Here are two things I do to rejuvenate my body and make room for my Self:

Water
Bathing is a mandatory must for me.  I’ve never went a week without at least three hours of uninterrupted time soaking away stressors and releasing toxins from my body (yes, sometimes simultaneously adding them back in with a glass of wine, but red wine is healthy, right?).  I make my own bath salts – they are luxuriously healing.  My adapted recipe can be found here:  http://jennbee-itsmylife.blogspot.com/2013/02/healing-detox-bath-salts.html

Earth
Try connecting yourself with Earth and Heaven.  Go outside, barefoot, in the grass and really focus on growing roots through the four corners of your feet, your foundation, deep into the Earth (we do this in Tadasana, Tree and variety of other asanas in yoga).  Imagine Earth’s energy nourishing you as you bring it in through your ‘roots’.  Now, lift your hands to the sky, spreading your arms, opening your heart to Heaven and intend to receive loving energies from Heaven.  End with a silent prayer or a simple Namaste.  You don’t need to spend much time with this practice…a minute or two when letting the dogs out during the day will suffice.  My favorite time is right as the weather is changing and moments before storms.  The energy you receive is amazing.

Healing Detox Bath Salts




Detoxifying Bath Salts


4 Pound Bag Epsom Salts
1 Pound Box Of Baking Soda
2 Pounds Himalayan Sea Salt (pink - essential)
50 Drops 100% Lavender Essential Oil 
Pour 1-2 Cups of salts into a hot bath. I'm more on the generous side.  I use regularly.

Mineral Salts: Removes toxins from the cells, relieves sore muscles, rich with magnesium which will help you sleep.

Sea Salt: A natural crystal that pulls mucous/stagnant energy from the energy field. 

Baking Soda: Removes radiation from the energy field from modern day over exposure to cell phones, computers, t.v’.s, electronics, x-rays etc....also helps balance pH levels of the body.

100% Lavender Essential Oil: Aromatherapy ~ Calming to the nervous system,    relieves anxiety/stress and helps promote sleep. Relieves aching muscles and is an excellent healer for all skin conditions.
